Robb Report Reviews 91E Integrated Amplifier

“With its smooth sound, ample power, and stunning design, this vacuum-tube titan was made to be the heart of any super-high-end stereo system.”

Robb Report, an internationally published luxury magazine, reviewed the 91E Integrated Amplifier, praising its most novel features, powerful circuit topology, and one-of-a-kind design. “This Swiss Army knife of an integrated amplifier produces remarkable sound…” writes Robert Ross, Robb Report’s automotive and audio editorial consultant. Ross highlights the amplifier’s ability to pair with virtually any loudspeaker, reproducing musical detail with more warmth and depth when compared with high-end solid-state amplifiers. He continues, “With about 20 WPC courtesy of Western Electric’s 300Bs, the 91E presents a rich, multi-layered audio experience that sounds as seductive as it is addictive.”

Regarding aesthetics, Ross writes, “Squint one’s eyes, and it could be a scale model of monumental Greek architecture, a triumphal arch from ancient Rome, or a World’s Fair pavilion from our modern era. Two glass colonnades, one on either side of the chassis, each ensconce a single Western Electric 300B vacuum tube, which is the heart and soul of this amplifier, and its raison d’être.” To read the full review, click here.

This review comes shortly after the magazine recognized the 91E in its annual “Best of the Best” issue.
