International shipping is complex and can feel uncertain—especially for high value shipments. Our Service & Support team respects overseas customers by making the process easy and affordable. In general, there are four main steps:

  1. Place your order

  2. Package enters transit

  3. Pay customs fees and await clearance

  4. Await final delivery

  • To check shipping eligibility, begin the checkout process. When your address is entered, options will be automatically shown.

  • Our online store calculates affordable rates in real time during checkout. Depending on the destination country, free shipping may be available for high value items.

  • In most cases, we will fulfill your order in less than three (3) days. Delivery time begins after an order leaves our facility, not at the time the order is placed. Time estimates are shown during checkout and can vary widely depending on your service area and other factors outside of our control.

  • Yes. On the day your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email with a tracking link. We recommend signing up for updates on the courier tracking page (e.g. fedex.com) to receive important updates. Tracking pages can take 24 hours or more to update properly.

  • Yes. We use shippers that accurately provide the exact day of delivery. In some cases, you will be provided with an estimated time window on the day of delivery. The actual time and date is subject to change due to a variety of factors.

  • These basic steps can greatly reduce delays:

    • Provide your full address in English

    • Correctly fill all required fields during checkout

    • Monitor your tracking page

    • Respond quickly to carrier or customs requests

  • Yes. If you wish to provide your own documents, simply contact support@westernelectric.com. We’ll begin by providing you with package weight and dimensions. Providing your own documents allows you to have complete control of your package and associated fees. If you prefer to connect us with your forwarder/broker, contact us.

  • Duties, taxes, and other fees may be due upon delivery. These additional import fees are:

    • Controlled by the country of destination, not Western Electric

    • Not collected during checkout

    • The responsibility of the recipient

    • Collected by the courier (e.g. FedEx, UPS, DHL) and/or customs authority

  • In most cases, the courier will contact you by email or phone soon after your package enters transit to settle outstanding payments. When the package arrives in your country, it remains subject to physical inspection and additional processing time. To avoid delay, it is essential to respond to requests from the courier in a timely manner.Item description

  • The courier will attempt to establish contact with you multiple times. If they do not hear back, the package will be destroyed or returned. Any associated charges will be passed along to you.Item description

  • Yes. Contact us to request a shipping quote that includes prepaid customs charges. Western Electric does not profit when you choose this option. Be aware that any additional, unexpected charges accrued during transit will be passed to you.Item description

    • Correct declared value (we do not undervalue shipments)

  • If your package is seriously delayed, damaged, or lost by the courier, it is essential to notify us immediately. Depending on the level of service provided, it is often the responsibility of the recipient to initiate a claim with the courier. In any case, we will work with you to initiate or continue the claims process accordingly.Item description
